New Yorker Melissa Grey has an exciting year ahead with the release of her debut YA novel The Girl At Midnight, published by Random House in April.

Yale graduate Grey wrote her first short story aged 12 but is set for stardom with her fantasy tale based on Slavic firebird mythology, following the adventures of feisty female protagonist Echo. Archery enthusiast Grey helps run the Geek Girl Brunch network in New York and recently appeared at the NYC Teen Author Festival at the Public Library. So confident are her publishers in Grey's success, they've already set her to work on second and third instalments of Echo's story.
